Computing

High quality Computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.  The core of Computing is Computer Science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. 

We recognise that Computing is an important tool in both the society we live in and in the process of teaching and learning.  Our philosophy is to use Computing to enhance learning across the curriculum and to enable pupils to become digitally literate (i.e. to be able to use, express themselves and develop their ideas through information and communication technology). 

They learn how to employ technology to enable rapid access to ideas and experiences from a wide range of sources.   

Our vision is that computing becomes integrated throughout school life.
