Geography

At Ryedene Primary and Nursery School, Geography is essentially understanding the world that we live in and where we fit into this diverse world.

The Geography curriculum enables children to develop knowledge and skills that are transferable to other curriculum areas. We aim to develop a passion for finding out about the world and the people in it; an understanding of diverse places; exploring natural and human environments as well as a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. 

We have a ‘hands on’ approach to exploring the subject; practical lessons are used where applicable. 

We also aim to make full use of the Local Area, with its abundance of learning opportunities, to bring Geography to life.
